Devotion 04/27/2020

One of the most familiar passages of scripture is Psalm 23.  You may have heard it in song, sometimes read at funerals, many have memorized it as children, and it has even been quoted in movies.  When I read Psalm 23, I can imagine David sitting outside watching his sheep and worshiping the Lord.  He knew that in order for sheep to feel totally content they must have security, food, water and the shepherd to lead them.  Seems David knew the story of my life.

Quarantine continues and we all long for normalcy.  Depending what you hear, normal may be something new and different.  The one thing we DO know, is that God does not change, and He will anoint with oil and fill the cup to overflow.  I’m certainly looking forward to running through green pastures, maybe even roll around a bit!

I pray that the Lord encourages you this morning.
May He revive your soul.
Know that goodness and mercy will follow.
